Hell Let Loose: Vietnam - M2 Flamethrower

While on HLLV, I was giving the chance to make the M2 Flamethrower, a milestone in my texturing knowledge and optimisation. Being one of the largest handheld weapons in the game meant I needed to better understanding UV optimisation entirely. This was one of the biggest tests I had but also yielded the best result and I captured all of the key aspects in my reference imagery. I thoroughly enjoyed diving into the texturing, I had a bunch of unique materials to replicate and a huge canvas space to build on.

Besides the art, I found myself invested in making sure I was communicating with my lead the steps I was taking, how I can improve in areas that would ultimately improve the piece as a whole and working outside of my core team with our character and animation teams.

Special credit to our Lead, Dan, for his consistent mentorship, leadership and support.
